Details of Role:
SEND and You are recruiting for 2 x Information, Advice & Support (IAS) practitioners to join our team. If you have knowledge, interest in or experience of Special Educational Needs or Disability (SEND) and can work effectively with children, young people and families, we’d like to hear from you!
This role involves responding to calls and emails to our Information, Advice & Support (IAS) line from parents, carers and young people. It also includes some face-to-face meetings, running small group information sessions and targeted outreach activities within identified communities, such as events within schools. You will need to be an excellent communicator, with the ability to deal confidently and professionally with a wide range of people. You will also need to be resilient and an excellent team player with strong focus on improving outcomes for children, young people and their families. You will strive for excellent standards of customer service, showing empathy and understanding and offering timely information and signposting.
We will provide you with fully accredited training to carry out this role. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Each post will work 21 hours a week, worked over three days (ideally Tuesday to Thursday), during opening times. Some flexibility may be needed occasionally to attend team meetings or training.
