Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring that SEND and You continues to develop and provide the best service.
Experience of Special Education Needs or Disabilities (SEND) is not essential for many of our volunteer roles, in fact you might want to join us to gain work experience and we are here to encourage that.
As a volunteer your role may include raising awareness of the Special Education Needs or Disabilities Information, Advice and Support (SENDIAS) service at your school or college, contributing ideas and content to the Children and Young People (CYP) newsletter or working with our CYP Lead to produce short videos that will help us keep improving our service. Your voice matters and we want to listen to you!
We encourage you to apply to volunteer with the SEND and You team if you have knowledge and skills that you would like to share and/or develop. Whether you have time and skills to share for a short or longer period of time, to gain work experience and contribute to our ever developing service, we would like to hear from you.
