South Gloucestershire Area Practitioner – Send and You (SAY)
Salary:
BAND 5 – (22 – 26) SAY Pay scale 2023-2024
From £29,903 to £33,618 per annum, pro rata, permanent contract, all year round.
Hours: 21 hours a week, worked over three or four days, during opening times. Some flexibility may be needed during the evenings or weekends to attend events or to attend team meetings or training.

Details of Role:
This role involves face-to-face meetings, running drop-in sessions, small group information sessions and targeted outreach activities within identified communities, such as events within schools and in community settings. The role also involves responding to calls and emails to our Information, Advice & Support (IAS) line from parents, carers and young people. You will need to be an excellent communicator, with the ability to deal confidently and professionally with a wide range of people. You will also need to be resilient and an excellent team player with a strong focus on improving outcomes for children, young people and their families. You will strive for excellent standards of customer service, showing empathy and understanding and offering timely information and signposting. Experience of working with a variety of people in different communities will be beneficial and you will need to be willing to work out in the community as well as from the office.
We will provide you with fully accredited training to carry out this role. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Main Office – Royal Oak House, Royal Oak Avenue, Bristol BS1 4GB. A lot of the work for this role with be carried out in the community (South Gloucestershire). There is also the opportunity for flexibility and a blend of home and office working.
