Somerset Cricket Foundation South Bristol Super 1s Cricket Programme

Somerset Cricket Foundation are delighted to announce the launch of a new inclusive cricket programme for young people in South Bristol called Super 1s.

Super 1s will meet weekly (term time only) from Thursday 13th January with sessions aimed at young people aged 12-25 with a mild/moderate learning difficulty, or with a physical disability.

Our cricket sessions are fun, played with a softer ball and will teach the basics of cricket! Super 1s will not only aim to improve an individual’s cricketing ability, but also develop other life skills through cricket sessions and access to other opportunities.

In addition, a big element of Super 1s is game play. With multiple disability cricket hubs across the County, throughout the year (during the school holidays) participants have the opportunity to meet other young people and represent their hub in fun, social and safe cricket matches (all matches are played with a soft ball)

The club will run from Thursday 13th January and every Thursday thereafter until March 31st. The session will take place from 5pm – 6pm at Hengrove Leisure Centre, Hengrove Promenade, Hengrove Park Hengrove Bristol BS14 0DE

The sessions are free to attend and are led by a qualified cricket coach who holds a valid ECB DBS, Safeguarding Young Cricketers and First Aid certificate.. All equipment can be provided.
